Knitted baby booties make a wonderful gift. If you're making booties for cool weather, consider making booties that resemble the popular leather ugg boots. You can make the booties to fit size 3 to 6 months or size 9 to 12 months.    

Supplies  

To make cheap ugg for sale, you need non-bulky suede yarn in a medium and dark taupe, and a chunky brushed yarn in a cream color. You need size 4 or 5 straight needles, or the size required for the correct gauge. Procure a blunt needle for finishing. A row counter is recommended. The booties are knit flat then seamed together.   

Gauge  

Check your gauge before you begin the project. To make size 3 to 6 month booties, your gauge should be 24 stitches of stockinette stitch to four inches or 10 centimeters using the suede yarn. To make size 9 to 12 month booties, your gauge should be 21 stitches of stockinette stitch to four inches or 10 centimeters using the suede yarn. Adjust your needle size as needed to get the correct gauge.   

Knitting and Finishing  

To begin, cast on 26 stitches in the darker taupe color and knit one row as a base. Knit 10 rows, bringing your yarn forward to gradually increase. As you finish the sole, switch to the medium taupe color and work in stockinette stitch for eight rows before beginning to shape the instep for 16 rows.

Knit an additional two inches of stockinette stitch, ending with a purl row. Knit two rows with the cream-colored yarn and bind off. Using the cream-colored yarn, add detailing along the sides of the ugg for cheap and over the instep. Using the appropriate color of suede yarn, sew the bottom and back seam of the booties.
